A Side-by-Side Comparison of Popular Height Adjustable Desks

We decided to do a side-by-side comparison of some of the more popular height adjustable desks available for corporations or individual home office users. Desks being reviewed are: Conset 501-49, Workrite Sierra HX, S2S Desk S2S-100, NextDesk Tera, Uprise Desk, Steelcase Series 7, Anthro Elevate II, New Heights Elegante, New Heights VERT and UpDesk.

We asked 10 large corporations (1,000 to 100,000 employees), 10 small businesses (25-500 employees) and 10 consumers what were the most important factors when deciding on a height adjustable desk.

The criteria for the comparison which was decided is as follows:
#1 Price: both for just the base (a number of corporations want to recycle their table tops) and full desk (The closest desk to meet a 60″x30″ Table top).
#2 Height range of the desk.
#3 Speed
#4 Weight capacity
#5 Power consumption
#6 Noise level when lowering or raising the desk
#7 Multiple position digital display comes as a standard?
#8 Does the base adjust
#9 Warranty
#10 Shipping

I took the liberty to add a new desk that we’ve been told will ship this June. The reason we added it was that one of the large corporations we interviewed mentioned they will be using this new desk, thus we decided to add it. It’s called the UpriseDesk. After reviewing this desk we believe that you will all be aware of it very sooner or later. It’s fast, quiet, versatile and price friendly.
